My new restaurant

After  I thought a long time  and decided  to open my own restaurant.
The restaurant target is to provide the costumer a good service, a delicious food obviously the first class food and that all our staff are professional.
The restaurant offers a variety of food on the menu with a traditional dishes from Ecuador ( coast, sierra,orient and Galapagos) but obviously in the menu are included some recipes from many countries.
I am planning to open it for  the end of December but my proposal is to open before Christmas if it is ready. For the beginning I will open from Thursday  to Sunday from 12 pm until middle night.  
 We will offers food for eating inside or take away  also it has a bar where our costumer can drink alcohol or cocktail until  they are waiting for their food and also can enjoy the music from our country and sometimes you can enjoy live music in the restaurant.

Morocho

 

 I had breakfast around 8.30 in the morning On Saturday because I had to bring my son to Spanish school at 9.30. For breakfast I ate  a croissant with morocho ( is traditional  sweet of my country ).Morocho is made with special  dry corn , milk ,sugar, raisins  and cinnamon. I was eating morocho for breakfast because my sister in law made on Friday afternoon, it is not too difficult to do but  take long time to cook.

Firstly one night before cook put the dry corn with very hot water and leaves for all night but  before cook  you have to wash and then add a lot of water and the cinnamon and leaves cook around 2 or 3 hours until softened and stir to mix evenly  nearly softened add the milk and raisins.Reduce the heat  and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring constantly. Unfortunately I don't do myself  but I have my sister in law, she likes cook a traditional food from  Ecuador.That is one of the reason  that children in my family  love her.

In conclusion these was  all the food  I ate on Saturday all of these foods are healthy.

Desert

 

On Saturday for desert I was eating an orange  because is the one of the fruit I like and also was last fruit in my basket. 

Lunch

 

For my lunch I ate a small portion of rice with a piece of roost turkey and also I prepared slices of  tomato and cucumber with salt, oil and drops of lemon. For drink I had a glass of  Guava juice actually  is not my favourite drink because it is too thick for my taste when drinking with the food  but  it was the last juice in the fridge. I drank  guava juice because I don't like eat my food with water as if  I take water, my food  loses flavour.
  I buy guava juice because is my son favourite drink.

Dinner

 

For my dinner  I ate a  medium piece of beef  with  green beans, the meat I made in the frying pan with oil  but before I cook I left 15 minutes in seasoned  with alineos (is the traditional seasoned what my mum taught me )  and the green beans I boiled until it was softened when it was ready  I stirred  and adding a half spoon of butter. My delicious food was accompanied with a glass of  7 up.

The first thing I did every morning is drink 2 glasses of warm water as it is a good way to keep weight.

On 23 of October our teacher requested us to wear something pink on that day. The reason was to support women with breast cancer and if you didn't wear pink things you  have to pay money for disobey her order.
On that day I was wearing pink trousers with a pink t-shirt and a pink scarf so when I arrived to the classroom my teacher was very surprised when she saw me and she was very pleased to see me in all pink.
  At the start of the lesson she gave us some advice for how we have to ask  people for any contribution to help women with breast cancer. She also provided some pink things like umbrella, scarf, headband and some leaflet with the information about breast cancer.
The  most important places we visited, were, all the offices in the college. When we were  arriving  the offices we asked  people if they could wear something pink to help us take a photo for doing ours homework's . After finished asked people for contribution I felt good.
That day was very interesting for me because I did something completely new one in my life   but other thing that surprised me  was how my teacher persuaded  people to help us.

The first time when I came to the lesson I was a little scary because  I didn't know my new classmate and thought maybe they will speak more gooder than me.

 I already knew my new teacher because she made the interview before the enrolment in the level .

When  had the first lesson, the teacher talked to us about the same rules we have to following during the year.

The first impression when I saw her was a strong person but when I got to know her I liked her because during this time she helped me and I had more confidence when I speak in front of the people.
In my classroom all my classmate  are friendly in fact when I speak with their I'm more confident and also sometime they help me.
During these time I learnt a lot of things. I know more vocabulary, I understand more gooder than before, but the best thing is I improve in my knowledge in how to use my computer. Actually when I  have my lessons in the computer room it is very exciting  but when I have to write is too stresses for me.

My terrible day

MY TERRIBLE DAY


Well, I would like to explain the reason why I arrived late on Wednesday at my English lesson.
OK I woke up at 7 in the morning as usual .I toke my shower, I wore my clothes , I had my breakfast and I washed the dishes.

 The last thing I did that day was brush my teeth when nearly finished it, the plastic cup of water slipping from my hand and all the water splashed in to my blouses and sweater so I had to changed my clothes again.

Around 10 pass 8 my son and I we left the house as usually that was good time for the both because my child start school at 8:40.
In that day I planned to start my job before 9 o'clock and finished it around 1 pm,everything was fine until I arrived  to the tube station. In the control pass I couldn't go through because  the platform  was full , a lot people were waiting for the train. I waited for a few minutes and when  I could pass I had to waited  because for some reason the trains could not move because in the next station is closed for a short time.
So I thought if I left the train probably it departure so I decided wait. I already wait for 15 minutes I could not wait more. I thought if I take a different route, maybe I arrived to my job on time so I did.                When approximate into the other platform the control could not let us go through I was stack and I  could not go anywhere so I decided to go back at my route when I tried get into the train the driver closes the doors but was fine I saw in the timetable in the next 2 minutes the next train came my surprise was when the driver informed  to us that  train was stopping for a few minutes, in that moment I was very angry and anxious, because it is nearly to 9.
When I saw the time it was too late,so I left the station and found other way to get to work. Finally I arrived to my work, when I started work until I finished  my job, all the time I ran. I was sweating like if  just I had a shower, my time was finishing I was  preparing to leave  my job when somebody rang the bell of the door  I opened the door it was a delivery  for my boss,I did not understand  why the delivery man looking to my weird. Any way I received the delivery  when I wore the jacket and when I saw my reflection in the  mirror and then I understood his expression.                                     All my mascara was running all over my eyes when i saw my self  my expression was Oh My God! What embarrassment.  OK that situation pass, suddenly  back in my mind I need to arrive at college on  time, I took my belongings and run to the bus stop, the bus was already at the bus stop  I caught the bus and said  OK it is good timing but I  didn't realize that on that day the workers were working on the road. There were a lot of traffic so I decided to get off the bus and run to the tube station. Fortunately I was on the train, I said OK Elena I took a deep breath and relaxed. Normally I will change the train in my travel so i already knew the way but for my unlucky day the station closed the usual way so i tried to find a new way to get to the platform. Finally I got off the train station in Lambeth the time was over so I ran to my classroom I arrived 5 minutes late  after the lesson started Finally it was not a very bad day at all  the lessons was interesting because I learnt a lot of things that day to improve my skill on ICT and English.
(THAT WAS GREAT!!!) 

Well, the last week was interesting and fun lesson. Because I learnt a different things to do in the same time on the computer like use the dictionary , use the big huge labs (motivator) also I learnt a new vocabulary.

My first week in the college

My first week in the college was very interested because it is completely different from last year.

My new teacher is very strict , in the first lesson she talked about the rules we have to follow the in this year , like the punctuation, attention every day also we can’t speak our language and the most important we can’t use the phone during the lesson, if we have broken the  rules we have to pay a penalty.

Other thing for this year is normally we have a class on Tuesday and  Wednesday but we have a little bit different , in this year we have to improve in photography and we can use the computer, so I like that because we can learn different things not just English in the usually method.

On Tuesday we are introduce to the other students and we met with my new teacher marvellous-Milagros, I like her, she is strict, she has a positive personality and also she is fun woman.

On Wednesday we had the first lesson in the computer was interested because I can made a lot things in the same time.
